- Hello Anyone,
-
- I hope someone can help me out.
-
- I have an A500 with a Derringer 030 inside. The Derringer is the 50mhz model
- with a 50mhz 882 installed. Also, an 8 meg SIMM is in place.
-
- Besides that I have a Supra500XP controller and a SupraRAM500RX with one and
- two megs respectively.
-
- The problem is that suddenly I get strange Gurus (Well, not gurus
- exactly...software failures. Oh, almost forgot...I'm have a 3.1 rom installed)
-
- The error numbers I have been getting are:
- 8000 000A
- 8000 000B
- 8000 0003
- 8000 0006
-
- and just once I got:
-
- BEFF FFFF
-
- It seems that the first two indicate a hardware problem but I don't understand
- how that could be. The only time the errors seem to come up is when a new
- screen attempts to open and when DaFTP attempts to display a RECENT list in an
- AmigaGuide file. (According to the Failure, it's the amigaguide.datatype that
- fails in this case)
-
- I have reseated every chip that is in a socket with no luck. I have completely
- reinstalled 3.1 with no luck.
-
- What else..hmmm...The problems seems to exist no matter what combination of
- caches and burst modes I set the 030 to.
-
- Is this a plot by AT so that I go out and buy a new Amiga or what?
- It's driving me nuts so if anyone has anything concrete please respond here or
- in email.
-
- Thanks,
-
- Gregg
